The first Sunday of every month is “Tuna Sunday,” when parishioners bring large (5 lb.) cans of tuna when they come to Mass. Early in the week a volunteer from the Los Angeles Catholic Worker delivers the tuna cans to the Catholic Worker Hospitality Kitchen at 6th Street and Gladys Street on skid row. With our offering, at least once a month volunteers prepare hot tuna-noodle casserole for the homeless and hungry who visit the Hospitality Kitchen.
Remember to bring your tuna cans on the first Sunday of the month!
